About Us

Built on expertise. Backed by CHP Australia.

AdCheck is Australia’s leading independent advertising compliance advisory service for therapeutic goods. Provided by CHP Australia, AdCheck offers expert compliance reviews and guidance for direct-to-consumer advertising. AdCheck ensures that businesses can navigate the complexities involved in regulatory requirements.

On 1 July 2020 there was a change in the legislation of therapeutic goods advertising. Prior to this date, most consumer advertisements for therapeutic goods had to be approved by the Secretary for Health. This function was delegated to CHP Australia, previously known as the Australian Self Medication Industry (ASMI).

Without the previous safety net of mandatory reviews, businesses faced new risks in ensuring their advertisements met legal and ethical standards. To fill the gap, AdCheck evolved into an independent compliance advisory service.

AdCheck fills the gap left by the removal of the mandatory pre-approval system.

With a team of advertising compliance experts, AdCheck provides in-depth regulatory reviews, concept consultations, and classification services to help businesses meet advertising standards. AdCheck continues to support businesses with a seamless, straightforward compliance experience.

Although we’re part of CHP Australia, you don’t have to be a CHP Australia member to use our services – AdCheck provides expert advertising review services to all businesses in the consumer healthcare sector.

We maintain close contact with the TGA’s Advertising Branch. That way, AdCheck ensures businesses remain aligned with the latest regulatory interpretations and enforcement trends.
